Only Brazil legend Pele has provided more assists in a single tournament, setting the record with six during the 1970 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA has tracked official World Cup assists since the 1966 edition, with every tournament producing standout creators alongside its leading goalscorers. The 2026 competition has continued that tradition, with Olise now among the greatest playmakers in World Cup history.
