The road to Budapest glory has taken a decisive turn following the confirmation of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League quarter-final fixtures and dates.

With the Round of 16 concluded, Europe’s elite clubs now shift their focus to the last eight, where high-stakes clashes promise drama, intensity, and unforgettable moments.

Quarter-finals pairings

Among the standout ties is a blockbuster encounter between record champions (15) Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, two of the most successful and decorated teams in European football history. This fixture is expected to deliver top-quality action, with both sides boasting rich Champions League pedigrees.

Another mouth-watering clash will see Paris Saint-Germain take on Liverpool. With attacking firepower on both ends, this tie could prove to be one of the most entertaining of the round.

Elsewhere, Portuguese giants Sporting CP will battle English side Arsenal, as the Gunners aim to continue their impressive European campaign. Meanwhile, an all-Spanish showdown between FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid adds extra intrigue, with domestic rivals set to clash on the continental stage.

Key dates

The quarter-final first legs are scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, and Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Sporting CP will host Arsenal, while Real Madrid will welcome Bayern Munich on April 7. The following day, Barcelona face Atlético Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain take on Liverpool.

The return legs will be played a week later, on Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Atlético Madrid will host Barcelona, and Liverpool will face Paris Saint-Germain on April 14. The remaining fixtures on April 15 will see Arsenal host Sporting CP, while Bayern Munich take on Real Madrid in what could be a decisive showdown.
