Muyoti reacts as Police fumble against misfiring Bidco United

Kenya Police FC head coach Nicholas Muyoti has cautioned that the only way the law enforcers will defend their title is by converting their chances early enough in the ongoing 2025/26 Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
His sentiments come shortly after Kenya Police FC and relegation-threatened Bidco United settled for a 1-1 draw in their league game week 19 encounter at Police Sacco Stadium on Monday, February 2, 2026.
Muyoti speaks
”We were going to lose the game because we created a lot of chances but failed to convert. Bidco scored an easy goal, the same way we did. We lost two important points, so we are getting back to the drawing board again to work,” Muyoti said.

Bidco United appeared on course for all three points when Victor Kunyili struck in the 85th minute. However, Police showed resilience and were rewarded late on when Yves Koutiama equalised deep into stoppage time (90+1’) to snatch a share of the spoils.
”In terms of play, we tried possessing the ball, creating chances, but failed to utilise them; that is why we drew. I am happy with how the players are committed. The only thing is that getting better in the final third, we need to score. We are creating chances; if we do not score, winning matches will be difficult. We cannot wait to concede before we react. The only way to defend our title is to create chances and score as early as possible.” Muyoti said.
Post-match stats
Despite the level scoreline, the statistics highlighted Kenya Police’s superiority for large spells of the contest. The law enforcers enjoyed 72 per cent possession compared to Bidco’s 28 per cent, completed 415 passes with an impressive 93 per cent accuracy, and registered 18 shot attempts.
Bidco United, on the other hand, were more conservative, managing eight shots and 157 passes, but remained clinical enough to stay in the contest.
Both teams recorded a 50 per cent shot accuracy, while Police also led in corners (6-2) and offsides (2-0). Discipline favoured the hosts as Kenya Police finished the match without a booking, while Bidco United picked up three yellow cards.

The standout performer on the day was Bidco United goalkeeper Issa Emuria, who was deservedly named Man of the Match. Emuria delivered a commanding performance between the posts, making eight saves, completing six successful claims, and executing five successful run-outs.
His efficiency was reflected in a 75 per cent claim success rate and a 77 per cent distribution efficiency, repeatedly frustrating the Kenya Police’s attacking efforts.
Ultimately, Emuria’s heroics ensured Bidco United walked away with a valuable point, while Kenya Police were left to rue missed opportunities despite their dominance.
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia have taken a firm grip of the league, pushing to claim it after missing it in the previous season.
