Mikel Arteta and Bruno Fernandes feted as EPL best in March
By Luke Oluoch, April 3, 2026Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta has won the Premier League Manager of the Month Award for March 2026.
The Spaniard guided Arsenal to three wins during the month. Victories against Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Everton—inspired by youngster Max Dowman—meant that we were the only team in the division to win all of our Premier League games in March, and seeing us open up a nine-point gap to chasers Manchester City in second place.
Manager of the month
“Mikel Arteta has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for March,” a statement from Sky Sports read.
Arteta, who turned 44 on March 27, 2026, is seeking to be the first manager to lead Arsenal to a first league title in 22 years, since Arsène Wenger’s tenure.
He beat Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler, Everton’s David Moyes, Eddie Howe, and Regis Le Bris of Sunderland, who completed the shortlist of March 2026 nominees.

Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes took home the best player of the month after leading Manchester United to a remarkable run in the season.
The Portuguese was named alongside a star-studded lineup including James Garner, Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Gordon, Alex Iwobi, David Raya, and Danny Welbeck.
With Garner among the favourites to bag the award after a fine season with the Toffees earned him a call-up to England’s latest round of international stars, it’s Bruno who topped the award, as confirmed by the EPL
The mercurial midfielder registered at least one goal involvement in all four of his Premier League appearances in March, scoring two goals while supplying a further four assists.
Bruno break assits record
Those four assists increased his haul for the season to 16, now the most by a Manchester United player in a single campaign, surpassing David Beckham’s 15 assists in 1999/2000.
At club level, Bruno was voted the “runaway winner” of the club’s fan-voted award, securing 71 per cent of the vote over teammates Casemiro and Matheus Cunha.
Arteta’s new feat comes after Pep Guardiola and Manchester City attacker Antoine Semenyo won both the player and manager awards in February 2026.
