KVF: Kenya Army stun unbeaten Prisons as Chema and KPA shine
By Luke Oluoch, February 22, 2026The race for playoff spots in the 2025/2026 Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National Men’s League went a notch higher on Sunday, February 22, 2026, with upsets and comebacks highlighting day four of the electrifying action at the Kasarani Arena.
Kenya Army and KPA were among the winning sides on the day, with Equity Banks and Chema Volleyball also registering success in their fixtures.
KPA maintain winning run
Prisons came into the clash sitting pretty at the top, having stamped their authority on the competition, with a flawless record, powering 3-0 past Prisons Western in their last tie on Saturday.
Proceedings against Kenya Army side proved uphill, with the relegation-threatened side producing a spectacular three-set attacking prowess to dispatch the Warders 25-19, 25-21, and 25-23 to silence the fancied visitors.
Dockers also unleashed a ruthless performance, whitewashing Prisons Western to continue their relentless pursuit of the top spot.

The win saw KPA move within touching distance of leaders Prisons, who started the day comfortably at the top of the standings with 21 points.
In other clashes, Chema VC from Juja shrugged off their slow start to edge Prisons Rift Valley in a nail-biting encounter.
Chema bounce back
Jeremiah Mukopi’s side went down in the first set before summoning fresh energy to down their rivals in the subsequent two sets.
They completed the comeback in the fourth set on a 25-18 scoreline to stay on the winning streak after their victory over Equity Banks on Saturday, game day three games.
Equity Bank also claimed a massive boost in their quest to climb the log after edging Kenya Administration Police Unit (KAPU) 4-1 to return to winning runs.
At the lower end, the Eldoret Water (ELDOWAS) unraveling season continued as the Eldoret-based club slumped to a loss against Nairobi Prisons.
The loss sealed back-to-back defeats for the club, coming after Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Trailblazers.
