By Luke Oluoch, September 5, 2026Gor Mahia will mark their return to Continental Games this Sunday, September 6, 2026, as they host Pyramids FC at the Nyayo National Stadium at 3:00 pm.
In a bid to ensure a smooth matchday experience and avert flouting of rules and CAF guidelines on international matches, Gor Mahia FC has provided crucial information on the do’s and don’ts ahead of the Sunday, September 6, 2026, encounter.
Among the important information and updates are detailed plans of stadium access and sitting arrangements. These guidelines follow fan unrest and chaos that disrupted their multiple pre-season fixtures, most notably the Super Cup clash against Tusker.
Here is a breakdown of the rules and the guidelines.
Matchday schedule and entry timings
Fans attending the high-stakes CAF fixture between Gor Mahia FC and Pyramids FC are advised to plan their journey early.
Stadium gates will open at 9:00 am and close strictly at 2:00 pm. Late arrivals will not be allowed past the security checkpoints under any circumstances once the gates shut at 2:00 pm, making early arrival essential for a smooth entry process.
Ticketing requirements: All supporters must acquire valid match tickets online.
Paper ticket sales or physical box office purchases will not be processed at the stadium gates. Fans have also been instructed to have their digital tickets generated and ready on their mobile devices before approaching the turnstiles for fast security scanning.
Stadium access and seating arrangement
Entrance access is strictly segregated based on ticket category to manage crowd flow safely. Gate A is exclusively reserved for VIP and VVIP ticket holders, as well as accredited members of the media and official delegations.

Both sets of fans can use the VIP gates, while gates 2 and 10 have been reserved for regular home fans and away fans, respectively.
The club has also directed that regular ticket holders must access the venue through the other designated general admission gates as well as comply with their designated sitting points.
Gates A to T have been reserved for the home fans in the regular category, while the away fans will occupy gates U to W.
Once inside, fans are required to remain in the designated seating sections printed on their respective tickets.
Reach the stadium before 2 pm
Organisers have confirmed that there will be no vehicle parking allocation inside the stadium premises for regular ticket holders.
Supporters are strongly encouraged to make alternative transport plans, use public transport, or utilise designated off-site parking facilities around the venue, leaving ample walking time to reach the entry gates before the 2:00 pm deadline.
Stadium rules and safety
Full cooperation with security personnel, stewards, and stadium marshals is mandatory throughout the matchday. Supporters must strictly adhere to ground rules, remain off the pitch perimeter at all times, and avoid bringing prohibited items into the stands to guarantee a safe and seamless experience for everyone in attendance.
