Gor Mahia welcomes club’s top scorer ahead of Kenya Police duel

By , May 8, 2026

Gor Mahia’s injury situation has significantly improved as the league enters its final stretch, with striker Felix Oluoch returning to training.

In an update shared on Friday, May 8, 2026, the club posted photos of the former Posta Rangers and Kariobangi Sharks ace engaging in light training, marking a critical step in his recovery process as he nears full fitness.

“Nothing better than seeing Felix Oluoch back in training,” a statement from K’Ogalo read.

Oluoch has been sidelined since Tuesday, March 3, 2026, when the club confirmed a knee injury that required surgery.

Following the procedure, the talisman was initially ruled out for up to three months, making his prospects of returning before the end of the season appear bleak.

Oluoch’s injury setback

However, his timely comeback arrives just as Gor Mahia requires every available player for the decisive final push for the league title. Prior to his injury, the attacker was in fine form; his strike in a 3-0 win over Mara Sugar earlier this year was his seventh of the campaign, as it placed him above the club’s scoring charts.

Gor Mahia next faces Kenya Police FC on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

They are seeking to wrap up the title after an intense and nerve-racking season where the race only tilted in their favor following back-to-back victories against arch-rivals AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji derby and last weekend’s win over Kakamega Homeboyz.

Gor currently sits at the top of the table with 54 points after 30 games. They face a stern test against the third-placed police side, who currently trail the leaders by 13 points.

The injury boost comes days after Harambee Stars defender Sylvester Owiino also resumed training with K’Ogalo and made his long-awaited return in the FKF PL last meeting against Kakamega Homeboyz.
