Ambani lauds training drill execution as AFC Leopards edge Posta Rangers
By Luke Oluoch, February 21, 2026AFC Leopards coach Fred Ambani has opened up on his team’s goal against Posta Rangers, lauding his charges for the perfect execution of team training ground drills.
Speaking after his side’s 2-1 win over the Mailmen, Ambani described the goals as textbook moves from their training grounds.

“We have been training for such situations in our training, and it’s good they have gotten the goals from it,” he said.
Leopards bagged two spectacular goals, with youngster Kelly Okonji Madada’s long-range thunderbolt stealing the pick of the evening.

The Shanderema alumnus picked out the top corner with an unstoppable left-footed strike to send Ingwe into an early lead.
The second goal, born from a set-piece play, was equally eye-catching.
With their opponents stationing bodies to pack the goalmouth, Leopards opted for a short corner outside the area, where Kayci Odhiambo’s shot managed to elude the crowded bodies and beat Fredrick Odhiambo in goal.

With the victory, Leopards bounced back to winning ways after seeing their march of consecutive league wins curtailed by Bandari in their previous outing.
In other matches, Bandari FC ended Murang’a Seal’s four-game unbeaten run in the league after a battling 3-2 defeat in the San Sebastian Arena this Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Sbabana also stayed on the winning side with a solitary goal win over Tusker FC, extending their fine run at home to four consecutive games.
Shabana win; Mathare held
Tom Teka’s fortuitous own goal in the first half was all the in-form Tore Bobe team needed to down the determined opponents and continue their fine league of six unbeaten games.
Danger man Brian Michira was pivotal to Shabana’s forays at goal and came close to putting the hosts to a 20th-minute lead.
The host lead came in the 38th minute, though, as Teka deflected a lofted effort past an out-of-position Brandon Obiero for the opener.
The slum derby between Kariobangi Sharks at home to Mathare United ended on a level pegging, with Luke Otiala claiming the equaliser for William Muluya’s charges at the Police Sacco grounds.
