Aldrine Kibet’s Celta Fortuna set for decisive La Liga 2 promotion playoff finale
RC Celta Fortuna, home to Kenyan international Aldrine Kibet, is set to renew its push for the Segunda Division promotion this Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the La Liga 2 playoff goes down with a two-legged promotion playoff finale.
The Celta reserves team will face SD Ponferradina in the final of the Primera Federación promotion playoffs for a spot in Segunda División.

Fortunas will first hit the road on Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the opening clash at 7:30 pm.
The club will return home seeking a repeat of their home comforts against their rivals for the Saturday, June 20, 2026, return leg clash.
The clash marks a crucial career milestone for Kibet, who joined Celta Vigo on a four-year deal in July 2025 from the Nàstic Sports Academy. While he was primarily signed for the U19 (Cantera) side, Kibet’s meteoric rise saw him integrated into Celta Vigo B (Celta Fortuna) in the Primera RFEF.
He will be hoping to join his compatriot Job Ochieng of Real Sociedad B among the Kenyans playing in La Liga 2 if Celta finishes the job in the two legs and secures their promotion.
