UDA mourns MP Ng’eno as a fearless voice for his constituents
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA Party) has mourned the passing of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ng’eno, describing him as a fearless voice for his constituents and a committed servant of the people.
In a statement on Saturday, February 28, 2026, the party expressed profound sorrow and deep shock over the tragic helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County, which claimed the lives of Ng’eno and five others.
“The untimely departure of Hon. Ng’eno is a devastating loss not only to his family and the people of Emurua Dikirr Constituency but also to our party and the nation at large,” the statement read.
The party lauded Ng’eno as a dedicated patriot, steadfast legislator, and courageous defender of public interest, whose leadership was marked by humility, integrity, and an unwavering sense of purpose.
Further, the party noted that he consistently championed the aspirations of ordinary citizens with conviction and sincerity.

“Ng’eno distinguished himself as a fearless voice for his constituents and a committed servant of the people,” the UDA statement said.
“On behalf of the Party leadership, we extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, the residents of Emurua Dikirr, and the people of Narok County during this moment of immense grief.”
The party urged the bereaved to draw strength from the enduring impact of his service and the legacy of leadership he leaves behind.
“We stand in solidarity with you during this difficult time and pray that the Almighty grants you fortitude, peace, and grace as you mourn this great loss. May the soul of Johana Ng’eno rest in eternal peace.”
The crash
The helicopter crashed near Chepkieb Primary School in a densely forested area amid heavy rainfall, which is believed to have contributed to the accident.

Videos circulating online from the scene show the aircraft engulfed in flames, with thick smoke rising above the wreckage.
Charred remains were visible inside the helicopter, partially obscured by thick bushes, while onlookers could be seen milling around the crash site.
