Step-by-step guide to accessing KCSE results online
The Kenya National Examinations Council has released a detailed guide on how to access the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education results just moments after the Education Cabinet Secretary officially announced the results.
In a detailed explainer, KNEC has maintained that all results-related queries must be lodged through the heads of institutions within 30 days after release of results.
According to KNEC, this year’s KCSE results will only be available on the KNEC’S website, where candidates are expected to log in with their details.

- Visit the web address: https://results.knec.ac.ke or visit the KNEC website and click on KCSE RESULTS
- Enter the candidate’s Index Number and at least one name
- Accept the privacy and access notice
- Search for the results
“All results-related queries must be lodged through the heads of institutions within 30 days after the release of results. Queries lodged after 30 days will attract a fee. Congratulations to all the candidates!,” KNEC added.

Meanwhile, according to the Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba a total of 1,932 candidates scored grade A in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations,.
Speaking on Friday January 9, 2026 while handing over results to President William Ruto at Eldoret State Lodge, CS Julius Ogamba said 270,000 attained grade C+ and above, qualifying for direct university entry.
At the time, the Education CS stated that at least 993,000 candidates sat the national examinations, with girls accounting for 50 per cent of the candidature. The figures were presented to President William Ruto ahead of the official release of the results today.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Education further announced that 72,000 candidates from day secondary schools scored grade C+ and above, underscoring the growing performance of learners in public day schools.
Worth noting, the KCSE examination results released on Friday, January 9, 2025, were administered countrywide between October 21 and November 14, 2025.
