KMTC said speculation could cause further distress to Ann’s family as they continue mourning their loss.

“We respectfully appeal to members of the public to refrain from speculation or the circulation of unverified information, as this may cause additional distress to the bereaved family,” the statement read.

KMTC said it remains in contact with Ann’s family and will continue offering support during the mourning period.

“The College remains in close contact with Ms Adhiambo’s family and will continue to offer the necessary support during this period of mourning. We once again extend our deepest condolences to her loved ones and to every member of the KMTC community affected by this tragic loss,” the institution stated.

The college also confirmed that Ann had joined the institution in September 2024 and was pursuing her studies in Clinical Medicine and Surgery (Anaesthesia) before her death.
