KeNHA invites bids for road maintenance tenders for 4th quarter of financial year 2025/26
By Katemarthason Okudo, July 7, 2026The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has invited eligible contractors and suppliers to apply for road maintenance and related service tenders for the fourth quarter of the 2025/26 financial year. The authority said the projects will support the maintenance and construction of national road infrastructure using funds from the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF).
The invitation was announced in a notice issued on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, with the authority encouraging interested firms to submit their bids before the deadline.
Road maintenance projects up for bidding
According to the notice, the tenders cover various road maintenance works and services aimed at improving the country’s national trunk road network.
“The Authority hereby invites bids from eligible contractors and suppliers for various maintenance works and services in support of Road Infrastructure Maintenance and Construction for the fourth (4th) Quarter for the FY 2025-2026 to be funded through the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF),” the notice stated.
KeNHA noted that the projects form part of its mandate to manage, develop, rehabilitate and maintain national trunk roads across the country under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007.
The authority said interested bidders should carefully review the tender requirements before submitting their applications.

Mandatory pre-bid meetings planned
KeNHA said all prospective bidders will be required to attend mandatory pre-bid conferences and pre-tender site visits, with the dates and locations outlined in the detailed tender documents.
The authority explained that the meetings are intended to help contractors understand the scope of the works and the conditions at the project sites before preparing their bids.
A complete set of tender documents has been made available through the KeNHA website and the Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP).
“Bidders are encouraged to download tender documents to minimise physical visits to the respective KeNHA Regional Offices,” the notice said.
Application deadline
KeNHA has set Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11.00 a.m. as the deadline for submitting tender applications.
The authority also advised interested bidders to regularly check its website for any addenda, amendments or clarifications that may be issued before the closing date.
“All interested bidders are required to continually check the Kenya National Highways Authority website for any tender addenda or clarifications that may arise before submission date,” the notice stated.
Eligible contractors and suppliers seeking to participate have been urged to ensure their applications meet all the requirements outlined in the tender documents before the submission deadline.
