Apple TV is now free in Kenya: Everything you need to know

Apple has expanded its iCloud+ subscription in Kenya, giving subscribers access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost.
The change means iCloud+ users in Kenya can now access Apple’s streaming service as part of their existing subscription, marking the first time Apple TV has been made available to users in the country through iCloud+.
“Starting this month, iCloud+ subscribers in Kenya will gain access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade as part of their iCloud+ subscription, at no additional cost,” Apple’s statement reads.
The expanded package also allows users to continue using iCloud to back up, store and share personal content across their Apple devices while accessing entertainment services.
Who can access Apple TV for free?
The offer is available to iCloud+ subscribers in Kenya. However, it is worth noting that Apple TV is not being offered as a free standalone service to everyone in the country.
Family Sharing also allows an iCloud+ subscription to be shared with up to five family members, meaning eligible users can extend the benefits of their subscription to members of their household.
Apple said the expanded iCloud+ offering is being introduced in more than 100 countries.
“We’re excited to bring Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ users in over 100 countries in one convenient subscription,” Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services and Health, said.
“ICloud+ users can now securely store and share personal content across their devices, enjoy the absolute best in original storytelling from Apple TV, and explore an incredible lineup of hundreds of games through Apple Arcade,” Cue added.
What can you watch on Apple TV?
Kenyan iCloud+ subscribers will gain access to Apple TV’s catalogue of original series, films, documentaries and children’s and family programming.
The service includes popular titles such as The Studio, Ted Lasso, Severance and Pluribus. Subscribers can also watch films, including CODA and F1, with new releases added regularly.
Apple TV content can be accessed across supported Apple devices and screens.
Other benefits for Kenyan users
The expanded iCloud+ package also gives subscribers unlimited access to Apple Arcade, Apple’s gaming service featuring more than 200 games.
The catalogue includes titles such as Football Manager 26 Touch, NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Sneaky Sasquatch and Subway Surfers+.
Apple Arcade games are available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV 4K. The service offers games without advertisements or in-app purchases and supports offline play.
iCloud+ subscribers will also get access to Apple Music Select, a collection of ad-free stations programmed by Apple Music.
Those who want the full Apple Music experience can subscribe separately. Apple says iCloud+ users in Kenya can access discounted Apple Music plans starting at $2.79 (about KSh360) per month for an individual plan.
The expanded iCloud+ package also includes additional storage, privacy features and event creation through Apple Invites.
Users can check or change their iCloud+ subscription through the Settings app on an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
