1. Arrive at the airport earlier

During the festive season, airports experience heavy passenger traffic. Aim to arrive at least 3 hours early for international flights and 2 hours early for domestic flights.

This allows enough time for check-in, security screening, and unexpected delays.

2.Check traffic and transport options

Plan your journey to the airport carefully. Leave home earlier than normal and monitor traffic updates, especially in major cities. If possible, use reliable transport options or pre-book airport transfers to avoid last-minute rushes.

3. Check in online

Online check-in saves valuable time at the airport. Once you check in, you can proceed directly to baggage drop-off or security screening, reducing the risk of delays caused by long queues.

4. Keep travel documents handy

Ensure your passport, ID, boarding pass, and visa (if required) are valid and easily accessible. Double-check passport expiry dates and entry requirements well before travel day to avoid surprises.

5. Pack smart and follow baggage rules

Avoid carrying excess or prohibited items that could delay you at security checks. Weigh your luggage in advance and familiarize yourself with airline baggage policies to prevent last-minute repacking at the airport.

6. Pay attention to flight updates

Flights may experience schedule changes during peak seasons. Turn on airline notifications, monitor your email and SMS alerts, and regularly check flight status to stay informed of any changes.

7. Know your boarding time and gate

Boarding usually starts earlier than departure time. Pay close attention to announcements and gate information displayed on airport screens, as gates can change unexpectedly.

8. Travel with a calm mindset

Expect queues and delays and plan for them mentally. Staying calm and patient helps you make better decisions and avoid mistakes that could cost you your flight.
