Prezzo
Kenyan rapper and entrepreneur Jackson Ngechu Makini widely known as CMB Prezzo turned a new leaf on October 27, 2024, after he released his first gospel song during a church service at Rev Lucy Natasha’s Empowerment Christian Church (ECC) in Nairobi.
The veteran musician, during the service, announced that he had given his life to Christ adding that his gospel song marked the beginning of his spiritual journey.
He further thanked Rev Natasha for helping him make the decision, revealing that he had ditched secular music for gospel music.
“I wanna send a big shout out to my reverend Lucy Natasha…You know if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be in this Gospel zone. We are gonna do a song for the Lord, and I’m blessed to premiere the song in front of you people.” Prezzo thanked Rev Natasha.
Prezzo has been in the secular music industry for close to two decades.
Michelle Ntalami
On May 21, 2024, Kenyan businesswoman and lifestyle influencer Michelle Ntalami took to her social media account to celebrate nine months in Christ.
The Marini CEO revealed that her life-changing encounter with God was the genesis of her spiritual journey.
“On the 21st of August 2023, I had a life-changing encounter with God Himself. As an astute businesswoman, life was beautiful. However, behind the success lay a heart that was deeply wounded by different human experiences along the journey of my life exactly 9 months today,” she revealed.
Explaining her spiritual journey, Ntalami held that she heard a voice calling her name thrice and saw visions.
“A thunderous, beautiful voice called my name “Michelle” 3 times. He blinded me and threw me to the floor. At that moment, I knew I was in the presence of the Lord! God showed me visions and spoke to me about many things in my life. The depth of this entire conversation and experience cannot be put into words. I will share in time,” she explained.
She attributed her spiritual renewal to pastor Antony Mwangi alias Pastor T.
Miracle Baby
Gengetone and Mugiithi singer Miracle Baby widely known as Peter Mwangi on June 2, 2024, posted photos of himself being prayed for in a church via his Instagram account and announced that he had been anointed as a man of God weeks after he was discharged from the hospital.
He expressed gratitude to Apostle John Paul for ordaining him as a pastor adding that he will be referred to as Pastor Peter Mwangi.
“I have been approved as a pastor by Apostle John Paul. I will serve God. Thank you, Apostle John Paul, for anointing me with oil. I will serve God until the end,” he shared.
His new path comes after he was heard in an undated video saying that if he left a hospital bed he would become a pastor.
“Bwana asifiwe. I’m going to preach. Nikitoka hapa nakua pastor and I will preach. Wenye wamenisupport God bless you. Mungu anasema hapa ninatoka,” he said.
On November 13, the Wamlambez hit maker defended himself after being spotted performing at a club; he said that singing secular songs does not change the fact that he is a born-again Christian.
“I’ve seen many people question about me, going back to secular music yes am back and I want to address that talent is given by God and one day he’ll ask me I gave you a talent what did you do with it…..I’ll still serve the Lord in my way.” he defended himself.
Anerlisa Muigai
Businesswoman and social media influencer Anerlisa Muigai on July 5, 2024, took to her Instagram account to announce that she had made a significant life change by giving her life to Jesus Christ.
While sharing her transformative experience, Keroche Breweries heiress uploaded a video of herself in a car, accompanied by a caption expressing how peaceful and fulfilled she has ever since surrendering her life to Jesus.
“I’m so glad to have given my life to Christ. My life is so much at peace. The people I have chosen in my life are everything I ever wanted. God is the only way. You come first,” she shared.
“There are some things that cannot lack in the house. Ribena. Not a fan but my hubs loves them a bit too much. We quit alcoholic drinks to focus on both our lives and on God. For me, I realized I loved water and herbal teas. Going on the 7th month of no alcohol together with my love,” she said On October 15, 2024, about being a teetotaler.
