Meru Mama Mboga: Man who leaked my video promised to support me financially

Meru Mama Mboga has broken her silence after her explicit sex video went viral, revealing how she was misled by a man who promised to help her financially.

Speaking about the ordeal on a video shared on Facebook on Monday, October 27, 2025, she described the betrayal, the pressure she faced, and the personal challenges that followed.

She explained that another woman had introduced her to the man, assuring her that she would help her get a husband and provide financial support.

“mimi nilidanywa na msichachana mwingine kuja nikuonyeshe vile utapata bwana uanona vile me nafanya ata sitoka kwa nyumba nakula nakunywa nalipa rent akanionyesha vile tunaingia internet akaniambia sasa utapata mwanaume wakukusaidia” Mama Mboga said.

Following this, the man asked her to send intimate videos, promising KSh 20,000 in return.

“nitakusaidia lakini lazma uniskize lazma utanitumia video zako alafu mimi nitakupea elfu ishirini”, she said

She admitted that initially, it was very difficult for her to comply.

Awali nilikosa nguvu, ilikuwa ngumu sana kwangu,” she added.

After sending the videos, she received the money but soon faced threats and harassment from him.

He demanded KSh 2,000 repeatedly, warning that he would expose the video publicly if she did not comply. The constant pressure forced her to change her phone number multiple times to avoid harassment.

Mama Mboga expressed deep regret over the situation, explaining that her actions were driven by urgent financial needs to support her four children and three from her younger sibling.

“Nawaomba mnisamee juu niko nawatoto wakubwa na nawaombe mfute hio video na sitarudia tena mimi ni nyanya mtoto wangu ako na mtoto naomba serikali mnisamee, ” she said, appealing to the public for understanding.

She also asked for public support in removing the video from circulation and protecting her family, noting that she is a grandmother.

She revealed that her life was in danger following the leak, and she was forced to leave her home in Meru after being rescued.

“Hii mzigo ni mzito sana niliokolewa uko meru nilikuwa karibu niuliwe na mobs za watu mnisaidie siezi rudi meru nilifumgiwa nyumba nika fukuzwa,” she said, tearfully describing the threats she faced and her struggle to stay safe.
