35-year-old woman warms hearts after putting up apartment for sale to afford surgery for sick dog

A Serbian woman offered to sell her apartment and all material possessions so that she could afford medical treatment for her dog.

Tanja Jankovic, 35, from Jagodina city, said that her dog Leo was battling a life-threatening disease and she needed the money to save him. “Please help me,” she wrote in the forum of a popular Serbian pet site.

“Vets say that the dog is suffering from aortic valve stenosis, which causes the narrowing of the aortic valve. The only way to treat the condition is
through surgery.”

Her apartment listing was shared numerously on Serbian social sites triggering positive responses and donations from animal lovers and well-wishers.
