Zippy Okoth explains how women in their 40s are redefining how they are perceived
Renowned media personality Zippy Okoth has told men that women over 40 are thriving in a new era, saying there has been a clear shift in how they live and see themselves.
She explained that many men still hold old views about women and age, yet things have changed. She said women are no longer limited by past expectations.
“The world rewards audacity, not potential. The courageous will always get what they need. The pessimists will always wonder how it happened…” Zippy Okoth said on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
She addressed men, saying some still believe that women over 40 have lost their value. She explained that this thinking belongs to a different time and does not reflect what is happening now. She added that women understand these views but do not agree with them.

“Dear Men, there’s a SHIFT. As you think of the impossible in this era, especially with women over 40, as you see our sensuality as expired… We understand you, because in your world, it definitely has,” she said.
A new era for women over 40
Zippy Okoth explained that women have changed and are moving forward with confidence. She said they are no longer trying to fit into roles that limit them. She added that they now choose how to live and define their own paths.
“Meanwhile, in our world, the meaning has changed, and we have changed with it. We move and meander through it all, and we raise our heads,” she said.

She also spoke about how women are no longer focused on being seen as the prize. She explained that they have stepped away from old systems and are building something different. She added that this change has created a new space where confidence matters.
“And as you sneer at our courage, stuck in that adage of being the price, we laugh, because we no longer trade in that market,” Zippy Okoth said.

She went on to describe a shift in power and identity. She said the new space requires strength and courage, and not everyone can fit into it. She explained that women are now taking positions where they can speak and lead.
“The market we have our eyes upon has a new definition, and cowards can’t thrive there because masculinity has a new meaning,” she said.
