TikToker and content creator in Kikuyu land Frankie Mesh has faulted Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba for appearing to cast blame for the happenings of this country on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

In a video he posted on Facebook on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Mesh took an opportunity to respond to an interview Wamuchomba did earlier with a local TV station, where she spoke on various national issues.

Harsh online response

Mesh, who is known for his blunt and humorous takes, claimed that Wamuchomba’s remarks did not make sense to him, even after he tried to follow the conversation.

“Gathoni Wamuchomba, I want to take this chance to thank you for speaking absolutely zero during the morning interview with Kamau Wa Kang’ethe,” Mesh said.

He also appeared to poke fun at the host, saying, “Kamau, let me thank you for listening to someone who is not talking at all.”

According to Mesh, he expected the MP to speak in a way that would connect with ordinary residents, especially those from her constituency, but he felt the message was unclear.

“For me, I tried to listen to what Gathoni Wamuchomba was saying in that interview; for real, I didn’t hear anything,” he added.

Everything is about Gachagua

In his video, Mesh went on to question why discussions on television and in public seem to keep circling back to Gachagua, even when the topic is not directly about him.

He argued that the constant focus on one person is confusing and tiring for viewers who simply want leaders to address everyday issues affecting wananchi.

“According to how the government is focusing on Gachagua, how MPs are making Gachagua the subject of discussion, I am even confused that maybe Gachagua could be the government and we do not know,” Mesh said.

He also challenged Wamuchomba to explain what she said in the interview and how it would help residents of Githunguri.

“Tell me what you said in the interview, whether they are of any value to me or residents of Githunguri,” Frankie Mesh said.

Mesh concluded by claiming that the more leaders attack Gachagua, the more attention and support he seems to attract, a statement that has since triggered mixed reactions online.

The MP is yet to respond to the remarks.
