Terence Creative praises govt after arrest of TikTokers over harassment
Content creator Terence Creative has praised the government after several TikTokers were arrested in Nairobi for allegedly harassing pedestrians and indecently assaulting women in Eastleigh, Pangani, and Muthaiga.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, he said the move should serve as a warning to all online content creators to act responsibly.
“We thank the government for this move. We hope fellow Kenyans will take this as a U-turn to start creating respectable content,” he said.

The content creator explained that online fame comes with responsibility and that unethical actions have consequences.
Concern over indecent online content
Terence Creative has previously expressed concern about the rise of indecent content by street content creators online. On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, he highlighted trends that harass people and violate their dignity.
“Kuna vitu ningependa kukashifu. First of all, let us not ignore things that are happening online, because sometimes it is good to be keen,” he said.
He called for caution and responsibility in what is shared on social media.

He explained that some creators film in public spaces and cross ethical boundaries, often making people uncomfortable.
“Of late, there has been a lot of indecent content going on, which I truly condemn. Na ni wrong sana,” he said.
Terence gave an example of content that worried him the most.
“I have seen that content, there is a guy alikua anacreate content anawekelea wasichana mikono. It is very wrong. Very wrong. Especially making someone uncomfortable. And to some extent, you translate it as sexual harassment, which it is,” he explained.
The arrests by Nairobi authorities are seen as a step toward curbing harassment by online content creators. Terence said this should remind everyone that online fame does not excuse unethical behaviour. He said that creators must prioritise respect, safety, and responsibility when producing content.
