Standards set high! Rapudo shares sweet dinner date Moment with daughter, Africanah

Businessman Kennedy Rapudo has left fans smiling after sharing a sweet and high-standards only moment with his daughter, Africanah.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Monday, February 23, 2026, Rapudo said he took his daughter out for a proper dinner to set the standard early.
He noted that watching her smile across the table reminded him that small moments are what truly matter. He described the outing as part of his fatherhood journey and said he wanted to make it unforgettable.
“Took my little princess out on a proper dinner date tonight — because the standard must be set early. Watching her smile across the table reminded me that these small moments are the ones that truly matter. Daddy duties, but make it unforgettable,” Rapudo stated.

Kennedy Rapudo welcomed Africanah in May 2023.
The couple made their relationship public in 2022. In early 2023, Rapudo proposed to Amber Ray during a trip to Dubai. Around the same period, they announced they were expecting their first child together.
The couple shared news of her arrival on social media but kept her face private for several months. In early 2024, they officially revealed her face during a family event.

Rapudo has previously stated that he first met Amber Ray at a club. At the time, she had tried to introduce him to a friend. They later kept in touch and began dating after she became single. Their relationship has faced challenges, including brief separations before the birth of their daughter, but they later reconciled.
Relationship with stepson
Rapudo recently opened up on his relationship with his stepson, revealing that Gavin does not call him dad, saying the decision is rooted in respect for the boy’s biological father.
Speaking in an interview on Saturday, November 8, 2025, Rapudo explained that Gavin’s father is actively involved in his life and occasionally picks him up to spend time together. He noted that he has no intention of replacing that bond.
To illustrate his point, Rapudo referenced his own daughter, Savoune, saying that although she lives with her mother, he remains a present and supportive father by paying her school fees and spending time with her whenever possible. He said it would be confusing for a child to refer to two different men as dad.

Rapudo shared that Gavin calls him Baba Africanah, a name he fully embraces. He stressed that the title does not diminish his role in the child’s life, adding that he provides and cares for Gavin as his own while still acknowledging and respecting the place of his biological father.
“I do not want to replace that. So whatever name he calls me, he calls me Baba Africana, and I am okay with that. He has reserved dad for his real dad, and I do not want to change that. As long as he is in my house, he is my son, but he does not have to call me dad. The fact that he calls me Baba Africana does not make me any less of a dad. I do everything I need to do for him as a father, but he knows he has his real dad,” Rapudo said.
