Gospel singer Size 8 has opened up about missing her late mother after having a conversation with her children about different family setups.

The mother of two said the discussion with her son Junior made her remember her mum deeply and appreciate the love she received from her.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, she explained that the talk started when she was teaching her children that families are different and not every child grows up in the same environment. She said the moment became emotional after she used her own life story as an example.

“It started as a simple conversation with my kids, especially my son Jr. I was explaining the different kinds of families that are there, and some children have both parents, some have one parent, and others have none, and some have even 3 parents or even 4 parents,” Size 8 said.

The singer said she then explained to her son that she only has one biological parent alive. She shared that the moment quickly brought back memories of her late mother and the role she played in her life.

“It was then I remembered my late mum deeply,” she said.

Remembering a mother’s love

Size 8 went on to describe a mother’s love as something special that cannot easily be replaced. She noted that the care, support and guidance from mothers remain important in the lives of many children even as they grow older.

“A mother’s love, care, and support are rare and special,” she explained.

The musician also encouraged people who still have their mothers alive to value them and spend quality time with them. She urged families to solve disagreements early and avoid holding onto conflict because life can change unexpectedly.

“To everyone who has their mum alive, make sure you treat them well and take care of them and spend time with them,” Size 8 said.

She also reminded people to make peace whenever there are misunderstandings in families. According to her, tomorrow is never promised, and people should avoid waiting too long before fixing relationships with their loved ones.
