Bonfire Adventures Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Simon Kabu says he has officially finalised his divorce with Sarah Mtalii, declaring that he is now legally single after a long journey.

In a statement on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Kabu reflected on over 15 years of hard work, saying he is ready to take some time to relax, travel, and explore the world.

However, he emphasised that he does not want to do it alone. Simon is inviting his fans.

“Now that I’m officially and legally single and having worked very, very hard over 15 years, I now need to relax a bit, travel, and explore the world. But, not alone … “I’m looking for my fans whom we can be travelling together with to explore the world as we learn (men, ladies and families),” he stated.

Furthermore, he stated that the club, available on WhatsApp and on a dedicated Facebook page called Travel With Simon Kabu, offers exclusive travel deals and opportunities for fans to explore new destinations with him.

This comes a few weeks after Sarah Mtalii compared the pain of divorce to death, saying women often go through it alone and in silence.

In an interview on YouTube on Saturday, January 17, 2026, she said that, unlike death, where people gather to mourn together, divorce leaves women without support and understanding from those around them.

“When a woman is going through a divorce, the support cannot support you,” Sarah said.

She added, “You know divorce is as hard as death.” According to her, society does not treat divorce with the same seriousness as loss through death.

She explained the difference by saying, “Venye mtu akikufiwa, watu wanajaa kwa nyumba wana grieve with the person.”

She said the experience is very different for women going through separation.

“But when you are going through a divorce, there is no one to grieve with you. People think unafaa uvumilie,” she said.

She added that people rarely walk with women through the process. “Like they don’t walk with you,” she explained.

Sarah said family background also affects how women are treated during divorce. She explained that some families distance themselves when divorce happens.

“Also, if you come from those families who have never seen divorce, when they hear someone is divorcing, they detach,” she said.
