Shes Kemunto reveals 7 mistakes women make when in love

Iyanii’s girlfriend and influencer, Shes Kemunto, has shared a list of seven mistakes that women often make when they are in love.

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, she said that she believes a woman with standards does not need to prove she deserves love and should instead act differently. Kemunto explains that a woman’s silence should communicate that she is willing to leave if the love is not mutual.

According to her, many women fall into the trap of trying to convince themselves that a partner still cares when his actions show otherwise. One major mistake she points out is when a woman keeps making excuses for a man.

Kemunto said that when you say, “He’s just busy” or “He’s going through a lot,” you are ignoring the truth.

She said, “No, sis, he’s just not showing up. And you’re trying to convince yourself that he still cares.”

Another common error happens when a man stops calling as often as he used to. Kemunto notes that women often keep texting just to “check in,” but she views this as chasing rather than caring.

Signs of a woman losing her standards

She believes a man can feel when a woman is chasing him. She also warns against overgiving, which includes always buying gifts, cooking, and overexplaining things.

She warns that women often do this to prove they are “wife material,” but she insists, “You don’t have to audition for love.”

Kemunto also highlighted the danger of pretending to be “cool with anything” just to avoid looking demanding. She notes that this teaches a man that your feelings do not matter.

Staying in a relationship that offers half love is another mistake that she describes as the real definition of desperate. She says this kind of love confuses and drains a person, yet many stay because they do not want to lose the man.

She encouraged women to look at these points and recognise the type of woman they are becoming. Kemunto said she speaks from her own experiences to share relatable things. Her main advice is for women to choose themselves.
