Drill trio Wakadinali have revealed a bold plan to release three solo albums on the same day, marking one of the most ambitious rollouts in Kenyan hip-hop.

The announcement through their Instagram on the night of Saturday, April 24, 2026, came during a casual conversation between Scar Mkadinali, Domani Munga, and Sewer Sydaa, which quickly turned into a major music reveal.

Scar kicked off the exchange by questioning why people assume they have not been busy, saying: “Wanashangaa hatujakuwa busy?”

Sewersydaa responded with confirmation of activity behind the scenes: “Tumekuwa busy… nataka tuduu kitu, mimi nadrop hiyo album.”

Domani Munga followed immediately with his own confirmation: “Si pia mimi nadrop hiyo album.”

What began as light banter quickly unfolded into a coordinated announcement of three solo projects in motion at once.

Albums confirmed

The trio also revealed the official titles of their individual projects.

Sewersydaa will release Relapse, Domani Munga drops Life and Times of a Trapper, while Scar Mkadinali’s project is titled Mziza Season.

Scar later confirmed that each project will carry 15 tracks, bringing the total to 45 songs dropping on the same day.

Their breakthrough came in 2017 with their debut album Ndani ya Cockpit 1, followed by Ndani ya Cockpit 2 in 2018.

The group gained mainstream recognition in 2020 after the release of Victims of Madness, which cemented their place in the industry.

In 2024, Wakadinali topped the list of most-streamed hip-hop artistes in Kenya, with tracks such as Hizi Stance, Sikutambui, and Kichwa Mbaya (featuring Masterpiece King) dominating Spotify charts.

By 2025, they ranked among the Top 5 most-streamed artists in Kenya, attracting over 835,000 listeners and more than 1.1 million hours of streaming.

Their album Victims of Madness 2 alone pulled in over 5.7 million Spotify streams, becoming one of the most-played local projects of the year.
