Sammy Kioko’s heartbreaking update as tussle with governor continues
By Charles Ouma, February 6, 2026Comedian Sammy Kioko has shared a heartbreaking update on his tussle with Governor Wavinya Ndeti and the county government of Machakos over delayed payments.
In an update on social media on the night of Thursday, February 5, 2026, Kioko revealed that his sister camped at the governor’s office for twelve hours with no one listening or assisting her.
“To the Governor, your silence is deafening. She has been at your office gate for 12 hours with no one to help or listen to her,” Kioko wrote.

He added that he has exhausted all avenues to reach the governor, leaving him with no option but to address her through social media.
According to the comedian, he has been taken through endless meetings and empty promises that have left him drained at a time when he needs money.
“I’ve exhausted all avenues to reach you; now I’m forced to use social media. Please let your people tell us the truth – the endless meetings and empty promises have drained us. The truth may hurt, but it’s what we need,” he added.
The comedian shared a video showing him involved in what appears to be an altercation with people at the gate of the governor’s office.
He revealed that while some came to threaten and chase them away in the name of “Toeni Sarakasi hapa (Take the drama away from here)”, officers at the gate were understanding and offered them protection.
He forgave those who roughed them up at the gate, emphasising that her sister needs help, not intimidation and threats.
“To the officers at the gate who offered her safety and understanding, asanteni sana. We forgive and understand those who came to threaten and chase us away in the name of “Toeni Sarakasi hapa. She desperately needs help, not intimidation,” Kioko concluded.
The tussle began in October last year when the comedian camped at Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s office to express his frustrations over long-standing outstanding debts with the county government after delivering services some time back.
In a video shared on his official Instagram post on Friday, October 24, 2025, the former Churchill Show comedian shared the frustrations he had encountered with the county government while trying to follow up on his payments at a time when his sister was sick and needed treatment.

He later put up his car for sale, with well-wishers also chipping in, and took his ailing sister to India for treatment.
Months later, the tussle continues, with the comedian’s latest update revealing that he is still encountering challenges reaching the governor.
