Samidoh, Millicent Omanga and other notable guests who headlined Aloise Kinyanjui’s Ruracio
By Steve Ireri, February 8, 2026Aspiring politician Aloise Kinyanjui finally held a beautiful, culturally rich ruracio ceremony, where he officially confirmed his intention to walk down the aisle with his partner, Ann.
The traditional ceremony took place at an exclusive garden in Kiganjo, Gatundu South, and attracted a large gathering of politicians, celebrities and other notable public figures, making it a memorable and high-profile occasion.
The theme of the day centred on traditional Kikuyu community regalia and colours, and attendees made a clear effort to honour it. Guests turned up in carefully selected traditional outfits that reflected the cultural importance of the ceremony.
Below are some of the well-known personalities who attended the event.
Muthoni BabyTop
Popular Kameme FM presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba, popularly known as BabyTop, was among the key celebrities in attendance. Her presence drew attention from many guests, with several stopping to admire her outfit.
BabyTop arrived dressed in a stylish net outfit, featuring orange pants paired with a pink top adorned with a large, neatly designed flower at the front.

During the ceremony, BabyTop was invited by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to address the gathering. She delivered a warm and heartfelt speech, emphasising the importance of unity within the Mt Kenya community. She also referred to Aloise as her uncle and wished both him and Ann well as they prepared for marriage.
Samidoh
Celebrated singer and one-man guitarist Samidoh Muchoki was also among the artistes invited to perform at the event.
Samidoh arrived wearing a kitenge shirt, which he paired with a brown hat, perfectly complementing the traditional theme of the ceremony. Shortly after his arrival, he was ushered to the main podium, where he performed several of his popular songs.

As he entertained the crowd, leaders including Rigathi Gachagua joined him on stage, turning the ceremony into a lively and joyous celebration that delighted attendees.
Karungo wa Thang’wa
Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa was among the VIP guests at the event. He was smartly dressed in a brown traditional-themed kitenge shirt, paired with black trousers, giving him a neat and composed look.
The senator was given the opportunity to invite Rigathi Gachagua to address the gathering. In his speech, Thang’wa thanked the people of Gatundu for consistently supporting Gachagua, even during times when some Mt Kenya communities shifted their political stance.

He also congratulated Aloise for finding a partner to settle down with and wished the couple a happy and successful marriage.
Millicent Omanga
Politician Millicent Omanga was among the invited guests whose presence drew applause from attendees. She appeared elegant in a kitenge dress decorated with floral patterns.
While speaking at the event, Omanga announced her intention to vie for the Nairobi Woman Representative seat in 2027, a statement that was met with cheers.
She also criticised some Mt Kenya MPs for poor performance and accused them of using money to influence voters.

However, she urged residents to remain vigilant and choose leaders wisely, even when offered money. Omanga also shared kind words for Aloise and Ann as they prepared for marriage.
MC Chris Kirubi
Popular events emcee MC Chris Kirubi Junior served as the official master of ceremonies. He was dressed in matching kitenge attire that blended well with the ruracio’s colours and overall theme.
Chris coordinated the programme by managing speeches, performances and transitions throughout the event. In a video shared on Facebook, he is seen welcoming Samidoh and briefly speaking with him after his arrival.
Later, MC Chris led Aloise, Ann and several leaders into an energetic traditional dance, drawing cheers and applause from guests.
