Salasya shares how he plans to house all his 3 wives as one family
By Paulette Mboga, January 13, 2026Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has revealed how he intends to accommodate all three of his future wives in one house.
He wrote on Tuesday, January 13, 2025, “This house has really drained my finances. I won’t build any house. All my three wives I will marry will stay here though sija wajua ni kina nani, but will stay here as one family.” Salasya explained his plan for arranging the household.
He said each wife will have her own floor, with one on the ground floor, another on the first floor, and the third on the second floor.

“Mmoja ground floor wa pili first floor, third second floor alafu nitakuwa naita mmoja mmoja uko third floor,” he said.
Salasya added that this arrangement reflects his approach as a typical polygamous Luhya man.
Salasya’s past request for a wife
In November 2025, Ida Odinga responded to Salasya’s public request for help in finding a wife. She said she had heard his appeal and would personally look into it.

Speaking at Opoda Farm on Friday, November 7, 2025, where dignitaries gathered to pay their last respects to the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Ida said she was touched by Salasya’s words and promised to take the request seriously.
She said, “Nimeona bwana Peter Salasya. Ile ombi lako, nimeskia. Asante sana, anasema anataka msichana kutoka hapa nimchagulie. Hiyo, I cannot take for granted. Daughters of Raila, nitachunguza sawasawa. Sindio?” Her remarks drew laughter and applause from those present. Ida’s response suggested she was willing to assist in Salasya’s search for a future wife.
Salasya’s comments come amid growing public attention to his personal life, particularly his plans for polygamy and household management. He said the current house is sufficient for his vision of keeping all three wives under one roof. According to him, this approach saves him from the financial burden of building separate houses while allowing each wife space of her own.
He said he intends to manage the household carefully, calling one wife at a time according to the plan he outlined. Salasya’s statements reflect his commitment to maintaining his family structure while adhering to his cultural values.
