Ruto offers millions, sponsorship, jobs & other goodies to families of chopper crash victims

President William Ruto has honoured the request of families of four victims of the helicopter crash that claimed six lives, including that of Emurua Dikir MP Jahana Ng’eno.
Ruto, who attended the burial service at Emurua Dikirr Primary School on Friday, March 6, 2026, received requests from the families who shared that they have been let in difficult situations following the demise of their kin.
Each family painted a clear picture of the gap left by their sons who perished in the accident, leaving no doubt that each of them was a lifeline to relatives and their respective families.
Ruto offers jobs
The president ordered the head of Public Service to ensure that Wycliffe Kiprotich’s widow, who studied a course in agriculture, is absorbed by the ministry as an employee.

“Head of Public Service, huyo msichana uende umake sure ameajiriwa kwa Ministry of Agriculture,” Ruto directed.
Robert Keter (Carlos), who was a trained teacher, had received an appointment letter as a teacher before tragedy struck.
Ruto directed that the deceased’s sister be offered a letter of employment to serve as a teacher, noting that she is a trained teacher.
House and Sponsorship
The president also responded to the plea by Nicholas Rono’s family, who had indicated that they do not have a house, confirming that he would support them.
The family of Amos Rotich also had the challenges that they raised addressed by Ruto, who offered to educate one of the deceased’s siblings, with politicians who accompanied the president agreeing to educate the remaining others.
Pledge of Ksh15M
He also promised to provide Ksh2 million to each of the families to make the load lighter as they face life after the death of their kin.

Johana Ng’eno’s plans to build his local church also received support from Ruto, who announced that he will give a personal contribution of Ksh 5 million, with his allies conducting a fundraiser for additional funds to complete the church.
The clergy had earlier stated that Ng’eno was keen on building his local church before the crash that claimed his life.
