Rachael Otuoma makes emotional plea for Shikie Kariuki after accident and eviction crisis
By Steve Ireri, April 11, 2026Rachael Otuoma has made an emotional appeal to TikTok users and well-wishers to come together and support Shikie Kariuki, who is currently facing a series of personal and financial challenges following an accident.
Speaking in a heartfelt address on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Otuoma revealed that Shikie has been going through a difficult period after sustaining injuries that have left her unable to walk or return to work. She explained that the situation has significantly affected her ability to sustain herself and care for her children.
“Shikie is going through a lot. You should all know that after the accident, she cannot walk or even go to work,” she said.
According to Otuoma, Shikie no longer lives in her Joska home, a matter that had raised questions among followers online.
She clarified that the content creator had been living there with her husband, but the relationship ended after he allegedly left her, forcing her to relocate.
“I have seen people asking me about her Joska house, but she does not live there anymore,” she added.

She added that Shikie has since been staying in a rental house, which has now been locked by the landlord due to unpaid rent, further worsening her situation.
Otuoma also addressed criticism directed at Shikie, including claims that she had previously denounced her faith. She urged the public to show compassion, forgive her, and instead focus on offering support during her time of need.
“Some people are reminding me that she once denounced God, but please forgive her and help her. Right now, there is a TikTok lady who has taken her children to stay with her for a while,” Rachael shared.
In a show of solidarity, Otuoma disclosed that another TikToker had stepped in to assist by temporarily taking in Shikie’s children, providing them with care as their mother continues to recover.
She went on to call on TikTok users and the wider public to contribute financially and help Shikie get back on her feet, emphasising that the support would go a long way in helping her rebuild her life.
“What happened with the Joska home is that she was living there with her husband, but he left her, and that is why she cannot go back there. It has now been about six months. The house she has been renting has also been locked by the landlord because she has not paid. Please help her, guys,” she added.
