Pritty Vishy returns to social media after near-death scare

Digital content creator Pritty Vishy has returned to social media after a brief break and hinted at a near-death experience during her absence.
In a brief statement on her Instagram account on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the content creator announced her return with the words “I’m back” before filling in her fans on the near-death experience.
She shared a screenshot of her exchange with a person who reached out during her absence on social media and her response, which indicated that she had a near-death experience.
“Hey Vishy, are you okay, my love?” The message read, with the social media personality responding that God came through at a moment when the outcome would have been devastating.
“Karibu role model asafiri lakini Mungu akashikilia (I almost went but God held it)” Vishy stated.
Vishy’s account, which is typically busy, had little activity over the last few days, with her previous post on Instagram having been made just before Valentine’s.
Pritty Vishy diagnosed with Malaria after Busia visit
The preceding days saw her battle ill health and take a break on social media.
“I have been sick since Monday night,” Vishy wrote on social media as she engaged her fans on Friday, February 6, 2026.
The digital creator revealed that she travelled to Busia and came back sick with malaria, a trend that she has noted every time she travels to the county.
“Tell me why every time I go to Busia huwa nakuja na malaria ya kukata na shoka (I catch serious malaria) since Monday night,” Vishy said.
Improvements in her health
The sickness took a toll on her health, disrupting her schedule. She recounted going for a shoot and having to cut it short owing to her sickness.
A day later, Vishy was at a party when she became unwell and had to seek medical attention. She was taken to a facility where she confirmed that she was suffering from malaria.
“I’m even better now on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night were my longest nights, plus the headache ayayayaya nikaa nilikuwa nafata Rao banae thank God my mum came through for me and some bodyaches and I’m on meds too…. Malaria wewe so now it’s only the sweat. Mtu anaeza dhani nimetoka zoezi ama kukimbizwa,” she shared.
