Pastor Kanyari pens heartfelt tribute to Bishop Kiengei after warm reception at JCM
By Steve Ireri, December 8, 2025Salvation Healing Ministries founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has penned a deeply emotional message to Bishop Ben Kiengei after receiving an overwhelmingly warm welcome at Jesus Compassion Ministries (JCM) during the church’s Thanksgiving Sunday service.
In a message shared on Facebook on Monday, December 8, 2025, Kanyari said he felt compelled to express his gratitude after the JCM founder and his congregation hosted him with what he described as exceptional kindness and genuine Christian fellowship.
“Dear Bishop Ben Gathungu, I hope this message finds you in good health and abundant grace. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome I received at JCM and the gracious hospitality you extended to me,” Kanyari wrote.

Kanyari said the hospitality he received left a strong impression on him, explaining that from the moment he arrived, he felt embraced not just as a guest preacher but as family.
He recalled that the reception from the congregation and Bishop Kiengei himself made him feel at home immediately.
“Your kindness and the genuine care shown by you and the entire congregation made me feel truly at home from the very first day,” he added.
The preacher also noted that Bishop Kiengei’s ability to lead through acts of compassion rather than words alone stood out to him.
According to him, witnessing the bishop extend practical help to struggling congregants showed a rare kind of ministry grounded in servanthood and empathy.
“Your compassionate deeds have left a lasting impression on me. The way you reach out to those in need, offering comfort and practical help, is a powerful testimony of the love of Christ in action. It is inspiring to witness a shepherd who leads not only with words but with tangible acts of love,” Kanyari wrote.
Kanyari added that a sermon delivered by Bishop Kiengei during the Thanksgiving service had deeply impacted him, explaining that the message, centred on divine mercy and trusting God’s timing, was one he would carry with him long after the service.
“The recent blessing sermon you delivered resonated deeply within my spirit. Your message, steeped in wisdom and hope, reminded us all of God’s unfailing mercy and the joy that comes from trusting in His plan. It was a timely encouragement that will stay with me long after the words have faded,” Kanyari shared.
The preacher further praised the spirit of unity, warmth, and fellowship he experienced at JCM, describing the church community as vibrant and welcoming.
He said the kindness shown to him spoke volumes about Kiengei’s leadership and the strength of the ministry.
“Thank you, Bishop, for your unwavering dedication to the flock, your inspiring example, and the spirit of fellowship that permeates every corner of JCM. I am truly blessed to have been welcomed into such a vibrant community, and I pray that God continues to bless you abundantly in all your endeavors,” he added.
