Pastor Kanyari blasts President Trump, says he regrets ever supporting him
Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has launched a sharp attack on President Donald Trump, saying he no longer supports the American leader despite previously backing him.
The preacher made the remarks while addressing congregants during a church service at his Njiiru-based ministry on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
During the sermon, Kanyari questioned Trump’s statements about other countries, saying he had recently seen the US president making comments suggesting that leaders elected in places such as Iran should be careful.
He expressed anger over such remarks, questioning why Trump appeared to speak about other nations in that manner.
“And I saw Trump saying that if a president is elected in Iran, he has to be aware, and he has been making more of such statements about other countries. Who does he think he is?” Kanyari said.
Kanyari went on to criticise the American leader in strong terms, openly asking who Trump thinks he is and accusing him of making what he described as foolish statements about other countries.
“Who the hell is Trump? Who does he think he is with his foolishness?” Kanyari added.

The televangelist also admitted that he had once supported Trump in the past but had since changed his mind. According to Kanyari, he had come to the realisation that the US president was not the leader he once believed him to be.
“I used to support him way back, but now I have realised that the president of America is not a brilliant man,” he said.
In a moment that drew reactions from those present, Kanyari even joked that his criticism might anger the American leader to the extent of targeting his church, making the comment while laughing before continuing with the sermon.
“And now, because of what I have said, the president may even direct one of the bombs to this church. Haha,” Kanyari added.
Promise to Marion Naipei
Kanyari declared his intention to support Naipei until she succeeds in life, emphasising that he would remain committed to helping her rise and improve her circumstances.
“Naipei, let me tell you this: I am Prophet Victor Kanyari. I will help you until the very last minute, until you rise to the top,” the preacher said.
Kanyari indicated that his support would not waver even if the decision attracts criticism from the public. According to him, he is aware that some people may eventually begin questioning or spreading negative stories about his involvement in helping Naipei.
On that note, the preacher suggested that critics might attempt to link his assistance to past controversies surrounding Naipei, including references to a widely circulated video that showed her in a compromising situation with a man in a nightclub.
Despite the possibility of such backlash, Kanyari maintained that he would continue helping her regardless of the criticism that may arise.
“I will continue helping you until people start hurling shade and spreading stories that Kanyari has helped a girl who was recorded in a strange manner with a man in a club,” Kanyari said.

Kanyari then urged Marion not to concern herself with what people might say about him, insisting that receiving his support was all that mattered.
The preacher further encouraged her to remain faithful to his church and wait patiently to see how his assistance would transform her life and help elevate her to greater heights.
“Even with all that, I will still help you; take my word. And don’t listen to what people who may judge me or us will say. You just wait and see how I will help you because I have made that vow,” he said.
