Gospel singer Daddy Owen has finally shared heartwarming moments from a special visit by President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, to his home in Kakamega.
Through his Instagram account, while sharing photos of his mother, family members and the First Daughter, Owen expressed gratitude as he gave details of the visit that took place at the tail end of 2023.
“2023 was a good year! I thank GOD! I had so many highlights, but the climax, the pinnacle and the crowning moment came at the tail end of the year when @charleneruto visited my home in Eshieywe, a.k.a Kakamega,” he wrote.
The celebration was filled with songs, dance, and ululations as the community welcomed Charlene Ruto.
“We celebrated with songs, dance, and ululations! Abhashiere came with their best dancing shoes to whirl to the real Isikuti made from the tough ‘Imbulu‘ skin!” Daddy Owen shared.
“We ate various Abhatsotso tradition delicacies from ‘Amakwakwata‘ to ‘lhisebhebhe,” he added
“Ebhusang’ang’a village was HAPPY, my mum was HAPPY, she loves guests… and the guests were HAPPY as well! So… HAPPY 2024 to y’all!” Daddy Owen expressed.

Daddy Owen recently addressed speculations about his relationship with Charlene, emphasizing that their bond is purely platonic despite frequent sightings together.
The singer clarified that they were just friends and they were working on some projects together.
“In addition to being just friends, we work together. There are many projects we do together,” he said.
