Onyango Tate says he’s okay if his girlfriend is with him for money
By William Muthama, May 7, 2026Content creator and self-proclaimed millionaire Onyango Tate has responded to public chatter suggesting that his girlfriend is only with him because of money, offering a defence of his views on relationships, provision, and loyalty.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, May 7, 2026, Onyango addressed the claims head-on, saying he has no issue with financial motivation in a relationship as long as certain expectations are met between partners.
Money relationship
Onyango did not shy away from the controversy, directly stating that he is comfortable with the idea that his partner may be financially motivated.
“My girl is with me because of money,” he said. “I’m okay with that.”

He argued that financial provision is a central responsibility for men in relationships, framing it as a natural part of his role rather than something unusual or controversial.
For him, the idea of a man providing is not optional but expected, and it forms the foundation of how he defines a functioning relationship.
A man must provide
Onyango described himself as a “problem solver” in a relationship, insisting that a man’s value is tied to his ability to provide stability and support.
“What is the work of a man? To provide,” he said, adding that failure to do so shifts the balance of responsibility in a relationship.
He also linked his expectations at home to structure and loyalty, saying consistency in behaviour matters just as much as financial support.

“As long as she’s loyal to me, she cooks for me, and she’s submissive, then I’m okay,” he said, reinforcing his view of mutual roles within a relationship.
Onyango also addressed claims circulating online that he was harassing his girlfriend in a video shared on social media. Responding to the criticism, he dismissed the label and pushed back against those questioning his behaviour.
“Who cares what broke people think?” he said, insisting that it is only “broke people” pushing that narrative and arguing that critics were misreading the situation and projecting negativity onto the clip.
