Oga Obinna sends passionate plea to Ruto after Mbavu Destroyer vs Majembe showdown

The organiser of the Vurugu Boxing Challenge, Oga Obinna, has made a passionate plea to President Ruto after the conclusion of the much-hyped event.

Majembe emerged as the winner of the Vurugu Boxing Challenge after beating his rival, Mbavu Destroyer.

After the hyped showdown, Obinna, the primary organiser of the event, has extended gratitude to President William Ruto and made more pleas.

Special message

“I have a special message to the president; Mr President, you are among the first people who believed in this na ukapatia winner one million na Mbavu, one million,” Obinna said after the showpiece.

“Mr President, I want to thank you for that; it is my humble request, Mr President. We have had the undercuts who have been in this ring tonight, and they are going home with Ksh100,000. Mr President, because you love sport and young people, kindly make sure all the undercuts go home with one million shillings,” he added.

“We have the referees and the judges who have made this possible, Mr President. Kindly make it possible that they go home with a minimum of Ksh300,000.

“Mr President, we do have consecutive matches planned later this year; we do request that you give us this place (Kasarani Indoor Arena) for free. I do not have to pay for it because this is a unit you can bless us with.”
