Nyota Ndogo brushes off critics, asks women to lock in and achieve their ambitions
Veteran musician Mwanaisha Abdalla, famously known as Nyota Ndogo, has addressed public opinions about her, saying people can decide for themselves whether to believe what they hear.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, February 28, 2026, she explained that her focus is on personal growth and helping others rather than responding to rumours.
“Chochote utakachosikia kunihusu mimi ni wewe utakavyo amua kuamini ama usiamini,” she said, stressing that it is up to individuals to choose what to trust.
Nyota Ndogo also warned that anyone who tries to separate others from her or distract them from their goals is blocking progress.
“Nachokijua mtu akijaribu kukutenganisha na Nyota basi anakutenganisha na maendeleo,” she said, highlighting the importance of staying focused despite criticism. She explained that success requires dedication and hard work and cannot be achieved by shortcuts.
The singer shared her personal achievements as an example of perseverance and empowerment.

“Mimi utaka sana kila mwanamke aendelee awe na kwake aseme hapa ni kwangu,” Nyota Ndogo said, encouraging women to secure their own space and opportunities.
She explained that building a future is not easy, but every step counts, especially acquiring assets such as land.
“Kujenga sio rahisi but kua tu na plot ni step moja kubwa kwasababu plot haitupi mtu,” she added, stressing the value of independence and ownership.

Nyota Ndogo expressed pride in creating opportunities for other women through her initiative.
“Am proud of myself, kueza kukusanya wa mama kutoka kwa mtandao na kuunda chama na kuwawezesha hawa wamama kua na plot kila moja wetu,” she said, highlighting her work to empower women to own plots of land and take charge of their futures.
