Nyako says she is done with TikTok lives as she bids fans emotional goodbye
By Steve Ireri, May 17, 2026Germany-based Kenyan TikToker Nyako has announced that she is stepping away from TikTok live sessions, bringing to an end a chapter that made her one of the most talked-about Kenyan creators on the platform.
Speaking in a TikTok live on Sunday, May 17, 2026, Nyako revealed that she no longer wishes to spend long hours on TikTok lives and now wants to focus on living what she described as a normal life, like everyone else.
The outspoken content creator said she wants to move away from constantly being online and instead focus on a quieter lifestyle outside the pressures of livestream culture.
“I want to pay taxes like everyone else. I want to now live a normal life like everyone else, not always being here on TikTok. I wish you guys well and thank you for the beautiful journey we had together,” she said.
Nyako explained that although she may continue posting occasional videos and updates on her page, she does not plan to continue hosting livestreams as frequently as before.
She further thanked her fans for standing by her throughout her online journey, saying they had experienced both highs and lows together during her time on TikTok.
“On my feed I might be posting videos and photo updates, but there will be no more lives. I will not be going live anymore,” she said.

The TikToker emotionally reflected on the memories she created with followers over the years, noting that despite the challenges and controversies she faced online, the journey had still been beautiful to her.
“I might keep my page active by just posting videos of my normal life outside TikTok, but I will not be spending hours on TikTok lives as before,” she added.
Nyako also hinted at wanting a more stable and ordinary lifestyle, saying she now desires to pay taxes like everyone else and live away from the constant attention associated with TikTok fame.
“So guys, thanks for the journey. Thank you for knowing me. The lows and the highs were all beautiful,” Nyako said.
