Nurse Judy shocked by Tanzania’s luxury hair service speed and cost
US-based nurse Judy has expressed surprise at the speed and cost of a luxury hair service she received while in Tanzania.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, she shared that the experience was done in a VIP setting and completed much faster than she expected. She compared the price to what she normally pays in the United States, saying the difference is significant.

“This is why I Love Africa,!!! This hair was done in Tanzania by 5-6 people in the VIP room, VIP treatment, took only 2hrs 1 only paid 200000tzs, equivalent to $78(inclusive lashes too)!”
She explained that the same service would cost much more in California. She said the price difference is one of the reasons she appreciates spending time in Africa. She added that the value for money in Tanzania made the experience even better.
“This would have cost me about $450 and above in California. I wanna make American money but the African spending, who’s with me”
Balancing life between continents
Nurse Judy is currently in Tanzania, where her family lives. She works as a nurse in the United States and travels frequently between countries. She explained that she makes several trips every year to stay connected with her family.
She said her travel routine includes moving between California, Dar es Salaam, and Kenya. She added that the frequent flights can be emotional, especially when leaving her children behind. She noted that despite the challenges, she remains grateful for the opportunity to travel.
“God is working on our case, there is great progress, soon the airport heartbreaks will come to an End, meantime I came to surprise my kids again!”
She explained that she continues to trust that her situation will improve. Adding that her goal is to reduce the emotional strain caused by constant travel. She added that her visits are important for maintaining family bonds.
“I fly back and forth, California, Daresalam, Kenya, 3 times a year, grateful to God for making that possible”
She said her recent trip was also meant to surprise her children. She explained that despite her busy schedule, she makes time to be present in their lives.
