Forex trader Nebz Don Mordechai has opened up about a costly experience in Dubai that saw him fined Ksh700,000 after driving a hired Lamborghini into the desert.

Sharing the story on Instagram on Thursday, March 19, 2026, Nebz Don detailed how what began as a thrilling adventure quickly turned into an expensive lesson.

Recounting the moment, he expressed shock at the situation, saying, “Oh my God, guys, we just got fined… my wife is crying.” He explained that they had rented the Lamborghini and decided to head into the desert to shoot videos on the final day of their trip. “I told her, baby, let’s go to the desert to finish the video,” he said, describing how the idea came about.

According to Nebz, the situation escalated quickly once they entered the sandy terrain. Despite being confident in his driving, the car began to lose control in the harsh desert conditions. “I know how to drive it well… but the car started drifting,” he said, adding that the heat and sand made handling the vehicle difficult.

The incident soon led to penalties from authorities. Nebz revealed the scale of the fine, stating, “We just got fined around 20,000 dirhams,” which is roughly Ksh 700,000. He also admitted that certain driving choices, including using sport mode for filming, may have contributed to the situation.

Beyond the financial loss, the ordeal disrupted their travel plans. They were left stranded in the heat for a period and even missed their flight while trying to resolve the issue. The experience, he noted, was stressful and overwhelming.

The forex trader used the moment to highlight the importance of understanding rules and limitations when driving luxury cars abroad.

The incident comes weeks after Nebz Mordechai kicked off a one-week Ksh 1 million spending spree after fellow trader Kafuri FX claimed the mansion he lives in was built and paid for by his parents.
