Murugi Munyi responds after being told her man shares meals with ‘work wife’

Content creator Murugi Munyi has responded lightheartedly after being told that her man shares meals with a “work wife.”
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, she addressed the comments after posting about preparing breakfast, making it clear she did not agree with the claims. She said the remarks pushed her to speak out directly.
She explained that the reaction came after she shared a simple moment. She said she had posted a picture showing she had packed breakfast. She added that the response she received caught her off guard and led to her strong reply.
“Good morning, guys, I have posted that picture, and I just remembered I needed to come and tell you that you guys are such cows,” Murugi Munyi said.

She went on to explain what was said about her post. She said some people claimed that meals prepared should also consider a “work wife.” She added that this idea did not sit well with her at all.
“Because tell me why yesterday after I posted that picture that ohh I have packed for my man breakfast and guys were like oh and by the way, I hope you know as you are packing for your man breakfast, make sure you pack for your man and for his work wife because they usually share the meals,” Murugi Munyi said.
Reaction to work wife claims
Murugi Munyi explained that she found the comments unnecessary. She said such remarks take away from simple personal moments. She added that people should not create assumptions about relationships.

She said the idea of preparing food for someone else outside the relationship was not something she supports. She explained that the comments pushed her to respond firmly. She added that she wanted to set the record straight.
“I was like, y’all just let us live, man. Let us live,” Murugi Munyi said.
She further explained that similar remarks have been repeated in different ways. She said some even suggested that meals should always be enough for sharing with a “work wife.” She added that this narrative was not acceptable to her.
“Tuliambiwa ati as we pack our husbands’ lunch or breakfast, we make sure it’s a good portion so they can eat with their work wife too,” Murugi Munyi said.
