Mungai Eve opens up on why she hardly talks on Instagram stories

The content creator on Friday, January 9, 2026, said she is more comfortable posting well-edited videos than talking directly to her followers in real time.
“Honestly, I am so poor at random conversations on ig stories,” she admitted.
The influencer says her comfort zone has always been YouTube, where she enjoys recording and editing content before posting.
“I love yapping on YouTube, which I should get back to soon, I know, but I will try to talk hapa pia,” Mungai Eve said.
She explained that her hesitation about Instagram stories comes from her years of creating polished content rather than spontaneous videos.
Mungai Eve has taken steps to improve her engagement on Instagram. She revealed that she recently got a tripod to record herself talking.
“I even got a tripod I be recording myself talking eeeiy I find it weird,” she said, adding that adjusting to live-style conversation feels unusual after years of editing.
Getting comfortable with live content
Mungai Eve says her experience over the past five years has shaped how she shares content online.
“It’s because in my 5 years of creating been used to posting recorded content, well edited not just talking kwa stories,” she explained.
Despite this, she says she is willing to push herself to be more active on Instagram stories to connect with her audience.
She also said that while Instagram stories feel challenging, she plans to experiment more with talking directly to followers.
“I will try,” Mungai Eve said, showing her commitment to adapting her content style.
She hopes this change will allow her audience to see a more personal and unedited side of her.
