Mummie Francie calls for mandatory family planning
By Paulette Mboga, April 21, 2026Content creator and businesswoman Mummie Francie has called for mandatory family planning, saying strict measures are needed to control childbirth and protect children.
She made the remarks after watching a viral video of a young boy struggling to care for his siblings and said the situation shows the need for urgent action.
She explained that some parents continue to have children without the ability to care for them. She said this leads to suffering among children who are left without proper support. She added that stronger systems should be put in place to prevent such situations.
“Saw the video, ya the boy from Kitui,” Mummie Francie wrote on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

She said the solution should include enforced family planning and medical procedures to limit births. She explained that this should be handled through a government-supported program to ensure access for all. She added that such measures would help reduce cases of neglect.
“We need to force family planning, tying of tubes and any other medical procedure to limit ya watu wanazaa ovyo ovyo na kutesa watoto,” she said.
Strict family planning measures
Mummie Francie questioned whether it is legal to enforce family planning on certain parents. She said if it is allowed, she would support efforts to push the matter forward at a national level. She explained that the issue should be discussed and possibly taken to lawmakers.
“Is it legal to force family planning on some other parents?” she said.

She added that she is ready to support medical professionals in pushing for change. She said nurses and doctors could help implement such programs if approved. She believes this could help reduce the number of children growing up in difficult conditions.
“Mimi nataka kuwa mstari wa mbele kuweka hii mada iende mpaka bunge iwekwe stamp,” she said.
She further suggested that people should be assessed before being allowed to have children. She explained that this could help ensure that only those who can care for children are allowed to do so. She acknowledged that the idea may upset many people.
“Tuanze kupimwa if unaweza kulea mtoto or not before upatiwe ruhusa ya kuzaa,” she said.
Mummie Francie said the main goal is to prevent children from suffering. She stressed that bringing children into the world without proper care should not be accepted. She said tough conversations are necessary to address the issue.
