Moureen Ngigi reveals the kind of man she wants months after breaking up with Commentator

Content creator Moureen Ngigi has opened up about the kind of partner she hopes to pursue next, months after her highly publicised separation from long-time boyfriend, YouTuber commentator 254.

Speaking in a video shared on her YouTube channel on Saturday, January 17, 2026, Moureen made it clear that being single should not be misinterpreted, firmly dispelling assumptions that her sudden breakup meant she had decided to pursue lesbianism.

“My friend and I are single, and that does not mean that we are lesbians. The kind of man I want to date next may create controversy, and people might share it anywhere they want,” she said.

The singer explained that her next partner would ideally be a man who has previously been in a serious relationship and has a child.

She noted that such life experience often comes with emotional depth, responsibility, and a stronger understanding of commitment.

On that note, she added that she values emotional stability and mental wellness and that maturity is non-negotiable for her.

“But I want a man who has been in a relationship before. I want someone who has a child and is mentally stable,” she stated.

She also clarified that the man, however, has to be single.

“He has to be single, but he should have a child and have been in a serious relationship before,” she stated.

Reason for her preference

According to Ngigi, the decision for a man to have a child with a woman is never a light or casual one, but rather the result of serious conversations and mutual agreement, which to her signals readiness, maturity, and clarity about life priorities.

“That is the kind of man I want to pursue next, because he understands a lot. For a man to reach a point where he agrees with a woman to have a child is not an easy decision; it is a big conversation. It shows that the man is ready for children and is mature,” she said.

She further shared that having already experienced married life has shaped her perspective significantly, adding that she now understands herself better and is more aware of what she wants.

“I have already experienced married life, so at this point, I know what I want,” she added.

Break up

The popular YouTube couple, who had been together since 2022, announced their separation in a joint statement released on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

They described the move as a difficult but necessary choice, one they believe is the healthiest path forward for both of them.

“Dear Friends, Fans, and Supporters, after much thought, prayer, and honest conversations, we have mutually agreed to end our romantic relationship. This was not an easy decision, but we both believe it is the healthiest path forward for each of us. We are proud of the memories we have created since 2022 and remain deeply grateful for the love and support we have received from all of you along the way,” the statement read in part.

Despite parting ways as a couple, the two emphasised that their bond would remain intact when it comes to raising their son.

They assured their supporters that they are fully committed to co-parenting with love, respect, and unity.

Their priority, they noted, is to ensure their child continues to receive the best life possible, surrounded by care and stability.

“Most importantly, we remain devoted partners in raising our son. Our commitment to co-parent with love, respect, and unity is unshakable, and we will continue to work together to give him the best life possible. Our journey together may be changing, but our friendship and dedication to our family remain strong,” they wrote.
