Mosiria’s advice men on marrying ladies with tattoos
Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria has given his take on what men should consider before marrying ladies with tattoos.
In a lengthy statement in which he called for caution before rushing to get tattoos, Mosiria urged men to exercise wisdom and caution, underscoring the importance of choosing a partner.
“This is about wisdom, not discrimination. This message is not hate. It is concern, based on observation and responsibility.” Mosiria said in a statement posted on his official Facebook account on Monday, January 26, 2026.

He urged men not to commit to ladies blindly especially those with many tattoos whose meanings they do not understand.
“My advice to the boy child is not that I don’t want you to marry them. Marriage is important and necessary. However, if you must choose, be cautious and avoid committing blindly, especially where there are many tattoos whose meanings you do not understand,” he said.
Mosiria’s observation and common tattoos
He also shared his observation that many of the ladies who have gone viral for negative reasons often have tattoos and identified some of the most common tattoos.
“Some tattooed: Names of boyfriends or husbands who later left, symbols they didn’t understand, drugs like marijuana, thinking it was “cool” Only to regret later when life demanded responsibility, marriage, work, or respect,” he added.
As a parting shot, Mosiria urged young people to think and reflect before getting tattoos, noting that many have shared their regrets and sought tattoo removal services.
“From observation and real-life encounters, many tattoos come with deep spiritual, emotional, and social consequences, especially when acquired without understanding. Some people later confess they feel trapped, disturbed, or disconnected, struggling with things they can’t explain. Call it spiritual, call it psychological, the impact is real,” he added.
“Choose wisdom over pressure. Choose purpose over popularity. Think. Reflect. Protect your future,” he added.
Deeper meaning of tattoos
According to Mosiria, many tattoos come with deep spiritual, emotional, and social consequences, especially when acquired without understanding.

He added that some are permanent, with many ending up regretting the decision to get tattoos.
“Today, many are desperately looking for tattoo removal, spending money, time, and tears. But the painful truth is: some tattoos are permanent. That’s why you see people forced to cover their bodies daily, not because of fashion, but because of regret and shame they never imagined would come,” Mosiria said.
