Mosiria offers cash reward as he seeks help tracing woman linked to viral Kariobangi GBV case
By Charles Ouma, March 2, 2026The Head of Customer Care in Nairobi County, Geoffrey Mosiria, has offered a cash reward to anyone who provides credible information leading to the arrest of a woman linked to a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) incident that went viral in the country.
In an update across his social media platforms on Monday, March 2, 2026, Mosiria stated that the matter was reported to Kariobangi South Police Station, and the suspect remains at large.
The person of interest is reported to have poured hot water on her boyfriend, leaving him with life-threatening injuries, before transferring huge sums of money from the victim’s line to hers.
Mosiria noted that the suspect is linked to the brutal assault and robbery of the victim.
“She allegedly burnt him with hot water and fled with his two mobile phones and Ksh318,450, which was reportedly transferred to her phone. The case was officially reported at Kariobangi South Police Station, and the suspect remains at large,” Mosiria said.
Cash reward
Mosiria offered a cash reward of Ksh20,000 to anyone who may offer important information leading to the woman’s arrest.

He provided contact through which information may be shared and urged for cooperation with security agencies as the search unfolds.

“A reward of Ksh20,000 will be offered for verified information that leads to her arrest through lawful channels. Let us cooperate with authorities to ensure justice is served safely and responsibly,” he added.
Advocate of boychild empowerment
Mosiria has been a dedicated advocate of the boychild, supporting initiatives aimed at empowering the boychild to keep up with the changing dynamics in the society.

In a statement on his social media platforms on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Mosiria noted that violence of any nature, regardless of the gender of the victim, should not be tolerated.
“Ni uchungu sana… Such violence should never happen to anyone in our society,” Mosiria stated as he gave his take on a recent case in which a man was said to have been assaulted by his lover. Mosiria emphasised that violence should never happen to anyone and should never be ignored.
