Michelle Ntalami reveals why she was once angry with God

Michelle Ntalami has revealed that she was once angry with God following the death of her father, a loss that deeply affected her faith and direction in life.

She said in an interview with Reverend Kathy Kiuna on Monday, February 2, 2026, the pain began when her father encouraged her to travel, assuring her he would be there when she returned.

“My dad told me to go; he said, ‘Michelle, go. I will pick you up from the airport when you are back,” she said.

She explained that things did not turn out as promised. She said the loss left her questioning God and expressing anger in prayer.

“That wasn’t to be. So I was very angry with God,” Michelle said.

She explained that her one wish was to return and find her father alive.

“I told the lord, I don’t care if I don’t do well in school, I just want to come back and find my father alive,” she added.

Michelle speaks about faith and loss

Michelle said her father played a big role in introducing her to faith while growing up.

“My dad would read the Bible for us. I knew God,” she explained.

However, she said they did not identify strongly with Christianity at the time.

“But we would not call ourselves Christians,” she said, adding that her schooling influenced her early views.

She explained that her high school was Catholic-based and shaped how she viewed faith.

“My high school was Catholic-based. I used to see that protestants have it twisted, we, Catholics, we are the ones who know,” Michelle said.

She noted that her understanding later changed.

Michelle said the passing of her father was devastating because it was the one thing she asked God for.

“My dad passed on. It was my one wish to God,” she said.

She explained that the disappointment caused her to struggle with her faith for a long time.

“So I took an issue with him for a long time,” she added.

She also revealed that the loss affected her education.

“I had to leave my studies,” Michelle says, “I was in the middle of exams. Our principal had to announce it,” she said.

She described the journey back home as overwhelming.

“That was the longest 7 hours on my flight. I felt dead,” she added, describing the depth of her pain and grief.
