Mary Lincon moves to comfort Catherine Wambugu after grisly Nyahururu road accident
By Steve Ireri, January 28, 2026Gospel singer-turned-preacher, Reverend Mary Lincoln, has visited ailing agripreneur Catherine Wambugu at her home just days after she was discharged from the hospital following a grisly road accident on the Nyeri-Nyahururu highway.
In a video shared by Catherine on her TikTok page on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the two are seen dancing to one of Mary’s gospel hits, which talks about how well things usually work if one places their trust in God.
In the heartwarming clip, Catherine, who still bears marks on her face following the accident, danced happily next to Mary as she held her hands high in a show of support for God’s grace.
At one point, Mary is seen holding Catherine by the shoulder, comforting her and encouraging her to dance to the uplifting song.
While reflecting on the wholesome moment, Catherine thanked the Ruiru-based preacher for taking time to visit her, saying it helped comfort her a bit.
“Thanks for coming, Reverend. Good evening, Reverend Mary Lincoln,” she wrote.
Catherine’s hospitalisation
Catherine, who is the CEO of Wambugu Apples, was involved in a tragic accident on Monday, January 19, 2026, that claimed the lives of her two employees.
In the aftermath of the accident, she was hospitalised for several days before being successfully discharged on Friday, January 23, 2026.

While giving an update on her hospitalisation later that day, Catherine shared that she was steadily recovering physically and was beginning to regain her strength.
“Hello everyone, my name is Catherine Wambugu, speaking on behalf of Wambugu Apples, and while speaking, I am aware that I am not only addressing Kenyans but also our clients all over. I am well and back home, feeling a bit stronger,” she said.
However, she lamented that she remained deeply saddened by the tragic loss of her colleagues Dominic and Terry, who were integral to her business operations, and by the death of a lorry driver involved in the crash.
“But my heart is very heavy for my colleagues who were working with Wambugu Apples and for the driver who lost his life during the incident,” she lamented.
She elaborated that Dominic served as her driver, delivering goods across the country and maintaining connections with numerous clients, while Terry frequently acted on her behalf, liaising with clients and representing Wambugu Apples in various capacities.
Catherine emphasised that both employees had been vital to the day-to-day operations of her business, and their sudden deaths have left an irreplaceable void.
“Even small support will go a long way, as they both had families, and this was such a sudden loss. Terry often spoke on my behalf with clients all over and handled calls for me, while Dominic was my driver and also delivered to many of our customers. The Bible says to join those who are mourning, and I invite everyone to stand with these families in this difficult time,” she stated.
