Lucy Natasha speaks out on pastors fighting silent battles

By , January 23, 2026

Reverend Lucy Natasha has spoken out about the often unseen struggles pastors go through while serving their congregations.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media on Friday, January 23, 2026, Natasha highlighted that many pastors continue preaching, teaching, and lifting others, even as they face personal hardships behind closed doors.

She added that in public, they smile, uplift others and show brave faces while fighting silent battles in private.

“Many pastors keep preaching and teaching while fighting silent wars behind closed doors. They smile in public while bleeding in private. They lift others while carrying their own weight,” Natasha wrote.

The Empowerment Christian Church (ECC) founder went on to list some of the pressures pastors face daily, yet, despite all this, they continue to show up, pray, and serve their communities.

“Financial pressure, betrayal, stress, disappointment, criticism and family burdens, but still, they show up, still pray and still believe,” she added.

“Still pour out when they feel empty. If you only knew the cost of the oil, you would handle your pastor with more grace.”

In addition, Natasha urged Kenyans to pray for pastors instead of judging them.

“Before you judge them, pray for them, before you speak against them, cover them,” she urged.

“God bless every pastor who stands for others while fighting unseen battles.”

Natasha’s church

This comes after the preacher announced the indefinite closure of her physical church services due to venue-related challenges.

In a statement shared with members of Empowerment Nation on Saturday, January 10, 2026, the popular televangelist announced that, starting Sunday, January 11, 2026, congregants would no longer gather at the Biashara Plaza Rooftop, which has been the church’s physical meeting place.

“Due to venue challenges, starting this Sunday, the 11th, we shall not be gathering at Biashara Plaza Rooftop,” she announced.

Reverend Lucy Natasha clarified that all church services will now continue exclusively online until further notice.

She called on members of Empowerment Nation to stand with the church in prayer during the transition period, expressing faith that they will soon move into what she described as a “God-ordained space”.

“Please stand with us in prayer as we transition toward our own God-ordained space. Let’s stay connected,” she said.
